Third-party certified to applicable industry standards, all of our state-of-the-art PVC gravity sewer systems are innovatively engineered and quality manufactured to virtually eliminate the leakage and infiltration common with traditional materials like concrete:
- Bottle-tight joints, fast easy installation
The patented, IPEX watertight gasket design reduces leakage and groundwater infiltration to virtually zero, and installation couldn’t be easier! Installed to specification, both our gasketed and solvent weld joints are impervious to root intrusion.
- High flow capacities, cost-saving performance
Smooth inner walls let you use smaller diameters of IPEX sewer pipe, while burying the pipe at minimum slopes – to save on both material and construction costs. IPEX PVC pipe’s superior abrasion resistance makes it ideal for stormwater lines with high flow velocities.
- Less maintenance, lower water purification costs
IPEX PVC gravity sewer pipe is immune to corrosion, oxidation and cracking – even when in contact with aggressive chemicals often found in sanitary sewers. And IPEX sewer pipe’s nonporous inner surface prevents encrustants, so the system stays cleaner longer, reducing the cost of water purification and maintenance.
- Superior strength and flexibility
IPEX PVC sewer pipe and fittings deliver superior performance under maximum load. Long-term deflection for our DR35 pipe after final consolidation of the backfill in the pipe zone is 7.5%, in compliance with ASTM D3034, a generous safety factor of 4 to 1 against leakage. In fact, the pipe can deflect up to 30% without leaking.
- Easy to handle, reduced installation costs
Tough, durable and lightweight, IPEX PVC sewer pipe can be easily moved around the jobsite and quickly installed without the need for costly heavy equipment in most cases. Cutting and beveling can be done onsite using standard construction tools.
- Engineered with the environment in mind
Installed to specification, IPEX gasketed gravity sewer pipe and fittings restrict daily infiltration and leakage to a maximum of 4.6 litres for every millimetre of diameter per kilometre per day (50 U.S. gal./in. dia./mile/day). IPEX DR35 and DR28 sewer pipe may be safely installed alongside potable water pipelines.
For advanced odor control and improved wastewater quality, we also offer our pre-fabricated, one-piece IPEX Vortex Flow™ Inserts – a simple, inexpensive and reliable solution for eliminating odorous emissions and minimizing corrosion in vertical sewer drops, pumping stations and forcemain discharges.
