COMPRESSION FITTINGS AND STOPS
Proven worldwide for their safety, long-term performance and reliability, IPEX Philmac® municipal stops offer a practical, corrosion-free alternative to leaded brass service fittings in municipal potable water, reclaimed water and sewage applications.
Philmac® stops are based on a unique interchangeable insert design that offers high pullout strength while providing for easy transition between different pipe materials – including polyethylene and copper tubing – using the same central body. The result is fast, easy installation and substantial savings in reduced inventories.
Manufactured from lead-free, engineering grade thermoplastics, Philmac® corporation (main) stops, curb stops and meter stops are available to fit nominal pipe sizes from ½ to 1½ (12 mm to 40 mm).

Philmac® Universal Transition Couplings (UTCs)
Based on an innovative slide-and-tighten design, Philmac® universal transition couplings simplify installation when replacing old water mains, even where space is limited. Using only four standard couplings, Philmac® UTCs can connect a large variety of piping materials and sizes – including copper, lead, galvanized iron, PVC, even PE and PEX. Large inventories of conventional brass fittings are no longer required.
Suitable for use on potable water supplies, above and below grade. Configurations include standard couplings, reducing couplings, elbows, tees and adapters. Available in OD sizes from 15 mm to 43 mm, to fit nominal pipe sizes from 1/2" to 1½".
